Standing Order #18 - Maintenance

PURPOSE

It is the purpose of this procedure to detail the actions and responsibilities of the PCSAR Maintenance Officer.

SCOPE/POLICY

This procedure applies to all PCSAR personnel.

RESPONSIBILITY

It shall be the responsibility of the Maintenance Officer to see that the Standing Order is implemented.

PROCEDURE

The primary duties of the Maintenance Officer will be those as defined in the Bylaws of the organization. Those duties are:

  1. The Maintenance Officer shall have the responsibility of maintaining PCSAR buildings, grounds, vehicles, and rescue equipment in a response ready condition.

  2. The Maintenance Officer shall keep a file of all operating instructions, warranty information, parts lists, etc., for all PCSAR equipment.

  3. The Maintenance Officer shall keep maintenance logs on all vehicles and rescue equipment.

  4. The Maintenance Officer shall report to the Assistant Team Leader – Operations on at least a monthly basis regarding the condition of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and rescue equipment.
